Course Name: CERTIFICATE II IN SPORT COACHING
Qualification outcome: Certificate II in Sport Coaching (SIS20321)

This is your entry point into the Sports industry and your start as a Sports Coach.


Upon successful completion of Certificate II in Sport Coaching you will be suitably able to work in assistant coaching roles working or volunteering at community based sports clubs and organisations in the Australian sport industry.


Individuals with this qualification use a defined and limited range of basic coaching skills to engage participants in a specific sport and are involved in mainly routine and repetitive tasks using limited practical skills and basic sport industry knowledge. They work under the supervision of a coach.


Each learner will gain 10 hours workplace vocational practical experience which is provided by your local sporting organisations.

  • Who is this course for?

    Anyone with no previous (or current) qualifications can enrol in this course. This course is ideal for anyone who wants to start their sport coaching or officating journey as an entry point into the Sports Industry.  Applicants must be 15 years or older, have access to a computer or tablet and internet capability.
